Our Disneyland (California) Trip!!!

As if moving wasn't enough we decided to go to Disneyland in October too! We had a blast, Grandma Swendy and Grandpa Mike were able to join us two of the days. Also we got to meet baby Eden and see Kylee, Andy, and Auri, who conveniently live close to D-land. Auri and Izac truly love each other and have a special bond. They were able to join us at the happiest place on earth for a day too!

Sorry for such a long post, I can never remember how to make a slide show, and I promise I only picked the best pictures to post. There are so many, it's hard to choose!!!

Alex watching a movie on the way

It was so fun to be there at Halloween time. I'm sure all holidays there are great, but we loved Halloween time

Alex not so sure about his first character encounter. Izac wouldn't even get out of the stroller

This is Izac's favorite ride.......

and his next favorite ride the carousel

I get sick when I spin, so I got to hold baby Eden, and Kylee was kind enough to take Alex with Auri on a more calm tea cup ride

Izac was brave and rode the Matterhorn with me, Justin, and Grandpa Mike

It's a small world, we were all able to get into one boat. Thank goodness, we got stuck for about 20 minutes in there when the ride broke down. I had snacks and Gma Swendy was entertainment for the kids.

Takin a break with Gpa
Izac and Auri, really couldn't get enough of each other

Izac and Auri with G&G, on the toon town firetruck. Let's not forget to take the cotton candy with us!

A little better encounter with Goofy

Izac's favorite character, Woody, cause he's a cowboy

Izac and Justin at a spooky scene

Waiting in line to another big ride Izac was brave to go on. Big Thunder Railroad.

A silly picture after the ride. Gma Swendy was nice to watch all 3 of the "babies" so the rest of us could go on this ride together

This is how the boys arrived at the hotel every night, so convenient
The third day we started with another of Izac's favorites, The Jungle Cruise

The classic, family in front of the castle

Us with G&G Van Dorn inside the front gate

Just our family

Izac with the "I"

Alex on the "A"

This was probably Alex's favorite thing in the whole 2 parks!

Izac loved the Pixar parade, it was so fun we had to see it the next day too!

It was so exciting, even the real Lightening McQueen was there!

The third day in the park it was just our family. We had a pass to get into the park early, called a magic morning pass. It was so nice to have very little people in the park for about an hour. Here we are with Mickey in his Halloween outfit.

The Sword in the Stone

This is what happens when your way cool Disneyland prize gun, runs out of batteries & won't make noise or light up anymore...... so sad!

Downtown Disney at the Lego store

The "real" Mater and McQueen

The fourth day of the trip we went out to the coast and went to the beach. You can't go to Newport without going to the Crab Cooker

The boys loved the beach! It was hard to make them leave. We carried them out kicking and screaming!

But then we got to go see Eden and Auri, and things were all better. Izac loved to hold baby Eden, even if she was crying. We just couldn't get enough of this cute chubby girl!!!
Watching a movie with cousins

And on the way home the next day we stopped in St. George to see our other cousins, the twins Abby and Emmy, and Benjamin. They are so cute too. We can't wait to see them again!
It was a crazy adventure, but we had SO MUCH fun. I want to go again....soon!!! Thanks to Kylee for Sunday dinner, and the fun. Thanks to G&G Van Dorn for the fun, and coming to make some memories with us. Thanks for letting Justin and I go on some "big" rides without the kids! Thanks to Justin for making it all happen, cause someone has to work to fund($) the fun times like these!!! (I have a bad hunch we're done with vacations and big purchases for quite a while)

Our New House!

Here is a picture of our new house. We are so excited to finally be living in it. We are loving having a yard, and lots of room to play and entertain! We have a great neighborhood, ward, and are close to so many good places! (resturants, shopping, freeway access)

So far we have had some overnight guests, house sitters, a baby shower, and we're about to host family dinner! It's so nice to have somewhere to do these things! If you ever come our way and need a place to stay, we'd love to have you!!!! If you live near call us and come play!!!
(Kylee, I'll have to remember to take pictures of the inside when it's picked up, I keep forgetting to do it.)

AGAIN!

We're moving again this weekend
If you feel so inclined you can come help!
call us at 1-800-sick-of-moving,
or you can call one of us
We can't wait for it to be over, hopefully for a long time!

I can't find a picture of the house to easily pop onto here, so I'll put one up as soon as I find or take one!

Yummiest treat EVER!

Today I was blessed by the bounty of someones garden while they were out of town.

That peach was HEAVENLY!!! The best snack ever. I even picked it up off of the ground!

I can't wait to have my own garden, and maybe even a peach, apple, or pear tree?

If you haven't ever had the privilege of picking some fruit and eating it right away, I feel so bad for you. I highly recommend finding a way to do it, and soon! It seriously tastes sooooo much better fresh of the tree. (bush, vine, etc.)

Thanks Thackeray's!
(I might have to go back tomorrow! There is probably about 10 times more than what I took, that needs to be picked)

It's a Secret

I mean a Cecret- Lake, that is.
Last Saturday I was EXTREMELY brave, and went on a hike to Cecret Lake with my boys. It was just the perfect legnth and level of difficulty for me. The great thing is that I have done it, and seen it, and don't ever have to do it again! Not really but I am just not that into hiking, but I have to do things like that every once in a while with my boys! We packed a picnic, and ate lunch up there. When we got there, there were two moose hanging out on the opposite side of the lake, so we watched them eat, and then they waded out into the lake. It was a dream come true for Izac, it difinately made all the hiking worth it!!!

*Don't forget to look below, there is another new post!*

"K"

is for kindergarten!

Izac started kindergarten on Thursday. He was fine, and acted all excited about it. Then it was time for me to go and he had a MAJOR meltdown! I had to just walk away, as if it wasn't already hard enough. Thankfully, when I picked him up, his teacher said he was fine after about 2 minutes, then the rest of the day he talked about how much fun he had, and how he loved school . When he was having his meltdown I asked him why he didn't tell me he was scared before we got there, and he said,I was just pretending to be excited. The next day when we were on our way to school I asked him if he was going to cry again, he said, no I only do that on the first day. I guess he's like his momma, and the unknown scares him! I really think he's going to like school, he's seemed to love it so far! When we move into our house we'll only be 6 houses away, how convenient! Can't wait until then, I have to drive him there for the next month.
P.S. kudos to all those teachers out there, I can't even imagine all the work you do to help our kids. It's funny, the things you finally realize when you have kids! I'm going to try to be as involved and help as much as I can with my kids classes!

MOVING!!!!

Is NOT fun!

Especially if you have to move twice.

We are moving out of the condo on Friday, into a rental house for a month and a half, unitl we can close on a house. We have one under contract, we're just getting through all the inspection, and appraisal. (More on that later, Ill post about it when things are more solid!)

I'm so thankful we were able to sell our condo, but packing and moving are making me second guess this decision.

Justin says we might not have internet at the rental. I'll post something more exciting before then if thats going to happen.

Better get back to packing, time is running out!

Birthday #2, for #2

It's our baby's 2nd birthday.
(maybe it's time to quit calling him baby?)

I can't believe exactly 2 years ago
(to the minute of typing this)
I was giving birth to this beautiful baby boy.

I was so nervous, about sharing the love, and just how the birth would go.
It went better and is better than I ever expected!
He has always been such a good boy!
(even at birth, popped out in two pushes)
Although he's definitely getting into the terrible twos.
(It doesn't help that he has a big brother that teaches him some tricks, and torments him!)

We love you, and your sweet vibrant spirit, and sense of humor!

Happy Day of Birth Alex!
We love you SO much!!!

(Birthday Lunch @Jason's Deli)

BTW
*We put an offer on a house today.
I'm trying not to get too excited.
I'll post as soon as there's news.
Good or Bad.
This is stressful.
Especially since Alex's birthday has been put on the back burner, I feel so bad.
Good thing he's only two and doesn't really know.
Don't worry we'll do something fun with him tonight!

What did you do for the 4th of July?

I know this is way late, but I'm taking a little break from the house hunt for a few minutes.

The 4th of July weekend was a good one. I was sad that I wasn't in St. George/ Cedar City with my family, but we made the best of it and had fun!!!
We went to the little parade, on Evergreen Avenue, where my aunt Denice grew up. Her family always does a cute little float for all the kids and grandkids. My aunt Shan and her family live close too, so they were there.
Here are my cute little man cousins and their float!
That afternoon we went to Oakley for the kids version of the rodeo. It was so fun, if we are here next year, Izac wants to do the mutton bustin.
(this is Izac and Justin doing the chicken chase. They throw chickens out into the arena, and you chase them, and if you catch it, either keep it, or trade it in for $1.)
Here's a little guy doing the mutton bustin, the event we went there to see. Izac was deciding if he really is up to doing it next year.
Then they do a calf chase, where they tape $ to a calf and the kids chase it, and try to get the $ and keep what they pull off.
Our little cowboy! It doesn't matter if it's hot, and you're wearing shorts, you still have to wear cowboy boots to a rodeo!

This is when Izac decided to give up being a cowboy, cause we didn't get there in time to sign up, and weren't sure we wanted him to do mutton bustin, until we knew exactly what it took to do it.
Snow cones can fix just about anything!

Cute Alex, enjoying the action!Justin and Izac watching the crazy rodeo.
Now That's a Bunch of Bull!!!

We then went to see Justin's mom at her new house in Marion (by Oakley), which is beautiful, and has amazing views!

But they weren't there, so we threw rocks in the ditch!
Then Dan and Liz came over for a mean BBQ. This is Dan's killer burger....SOOOOO YUM!!!

We had ribs, rootbeer over shaved ice, and all sorts of other good things!!!
Then we walked to the fireworks that they do right by our house.
(this is Izac doing cowboy fireworks, aka the cap gun;)
I had to cover Alex's ears or he'd freak, he hated the noise. He eventually fell asleep this way!
Both boys snoozing on the way home. It was a fun, hot, crazy, fun day, these little men were pooped!!!!
*on a side note:
We looked at some houses last night. If nothing else, we're eliminating houses we don't want. I still feel confident that we'll find our place. It looks like we'll be renting for a little while, until we find the right house for our family. Our agent offered us a great deal, renting one of his clients houses, which will work out great!!! We'll have to move twice, but we don't have to take everything with those storage/moving pods.

House Hunt

This boring post has no picture....sorry

Our condo went under contract a week ago, and we still haven't found a house.

I am stressed to the max about it, all I do is look at houses online, I can't concentrate on much of anything else. I thought I didn't like our place, and every time I walk in now, I am second guessing this decision. Our house is nice, not ideal, but nice!!!!

If you know of a (nice, cheap;)) house for sale, or where I can get some boxes-Please let us know!!!

I promise to post something exciting someday, like what we did for the 4th of July, right now I can't find the time to do it..... or maybe I will soon post our new house, if/when we find one??? Stay tuned

Well thanks for letting me vent, I better get back to looking at houses, getting rid of junk(ya right, I'm a pack rat) and dumpster diving for boxes!!!!

June Catch Up

We have been alive since Hawaii, although it's been hard to be back to reality. Here are some things we did in June.
It rained, A LOT
Izac's bike got in an accident. Thankfully without him on it. I still don't know who to be mad at, him for leaving it in the parking lot, or the person who didn't look behind their car when little kids were playing outside.

Our cousin Ben,(and my brother Kurtis) came to stay for one night. We played and went to the aquarium.

We went to Justin's family's cabin.
Where the boys couldn't get enough of playing in the stream.
We got cozy in our warm jammies, made hot chocolate, and watched a movie.
Justin always has to make popcorn in this old thing, because it's soooo good!
Alex loves to eat it Izac helped Justin with the wood pile

The boys went on a hike.
It was rainy, but we still enjoyed our time there.

Justin has been on a few bike rides with his brother Matt, sister Liz
and this guy, his buddy Brandon
We've gone swimming at Murray pool.
Justin took Alex on the "big slide".
