New Years, St. George Trip

We went to St. George for a second Christmas (with my family) and for New Years. My sister was also still there from California, so we had to go visit before she and her family went home. Here's a rundown of our adventures!
Second Christmas morning at Grandma & Grandpa St. George's house.

Our last minute trip to Zion on New Years Eve, where we found snowy red mountains, which were beautiful, but cold. The girls, and babies mostly just stayed in the car. We utilized all 8 seat belts in our car so we could all go together which was pretty squishy, especially for my sister who is pregnant, and got stuck in the back between 2 rug rats. The three of them fell asleep on the way there.

On New Years we went on a bike ride. My mom got a sweet new bike I was able to use, Justin used a bike of my dad's, we took our bike trailer with this in mind. My mom's bike is so comfortable and rides so smooth and nice. (Forgive my looks! pegged pants(I had already ripped them on the other bikes chain), helmet, and hunching over to reach the handlebars= not a good look for me!) We also took Izac's bike with us so he could do some practicing.

We took Justin and introduced him to the cool park that we found the last time we went down without him.

Izac and I scaled the rope bridge, which was quite the accomplishment, even for me.

Where's Alex?

We watched the U game, with lots of bad for you, yummy treats and snacks. Good thing we look so good in RED! Justin did get his degree from that school, so we have a little pride! GO UTES!

On the way home we stopped to see my Grandma and Grandpa in Cedar City. My Grandpa's new hobby is to go to the DI and thrift store and get things to refinish. He repainted this rocking horse and my boys were in heaven!

I love this picture, they are both having a grand ol' time!

We were also able to stop in Orem and visit with Justin's only living grandparent, his Grandpa Dorn. It was so good to see him and talk to him for a bit, since we don't see him often. I didn't get a picture of the event, the kids were out of control after being in the car for about 3 hours, but I wanted to document that we saw him as well.

That's most of it, Justin will have to blog his favorite event of the trip another time. (I'll probably end up doing it if I want it done before next year though).

We had a Happy New Year and hope you did too. It feels good this year, I have a spirit of renewal about me, and hope that I can make some changes for the better. Happy New Year!(a little late, but oh well)

Hey. I got that recipe from a blog. Funny how we both made it. I'm getting some of my MIL's soup recipes when we go home for Valentine's Day. Will you be in SLC?

hey kerrah! i just read your comment on my blog. if you send me your e-mail i can send you the background for the frame that has the love quotes on it. i went to tj maxx to get a cheap frame and then i went to the bead store for little metal hearts. the whole thing cost $14 'cause one of the metal hearts was actually kinda pricey so you could do it even cheaper. it was really easy. thanks!
